One of the Few Black-Owned Dental Offices in the Twin Cities

Dr. Q is proud to be the dentist and owner of one of only a handful of Black-owned dental offices in the Twin Cities. With only 3.8% of dentists in the United States being Black, Dr. Q brings both personal experience and dedication to helping close the racial oral health gap. One of the ways he aims to do this is with compassionate care that centers treating his patients as the whole, wonderful people that they are!

Highly Experienced & Passionate Dentist

In his sophomore year of college, Dr. Q learned that some of his relatives were dentists, which piqued his interest in the field, so he decided to shadow them. He quickly realized that dentistry filled his desire to help support his community, provide them with the compassionate and upbeat care they deserve, and be a beacon and place of refuge for his patients who have had bad past experiences with dentists.

In addition to his passion and love for dentistry and community, Dr. Q brings several years of experience to the table and countless hours of continuing education and advanced training. This allows him to offer his patients a comprehensive menu of dental services.

One of the primary reasons each of our team members went into dentistry is because we love interacting with people on a daily basis. We like learning about their families, favorite foods, community events and gatherings they’ve gone to, and so much more. This patient-centered approach helps everyone look at us more as friends and trusted family members than just "the dentist," which is great for those with anxiety!

We regularly see patients with dental phobia and anxiety. This has led to people dubbing Dr.Q the “joyful dentist” because he’s always happy to see them! He and our team always put connection first. In most cases, our friendly approach helps eliminate many of a patient's fears and concerns, allowing them to feel like they’re hanging out with friends instead of going to the dentist’s office!
